Banksia Grove is designed with family living in mind. Your kids will have endless places to discover and activities to play thanks to a network of parks and playgrounds.
The Discovery and Honey Possum linear parkland is a regional scaled network of spaces through the central area of the estate, linking with over 9ha of retained bush land.
The parks include a ‘living stream’, an adventure playground with ‘sky net’, a safe cycling pathway modelled on a racing car track and nature play equipment.
The amphitheatre and picnic areas at the southern end of the park include a mix of retained trees and provide shaded gathering spaces for family and community events such as Spring Family Fun Day, Movies In The Park and Australia Day Breakfast.
Enjoy art while learning about Indigenous history with the Mungitj Eco-Art Bushland Trailand - a sign-posted trail that weaves along Botanic Avenue in Banksia Grove’s Discovery Park.
The Mungitj Bushland Trail, opened in October 2012, is a community art, environment and education collaboration between the Banksia Grove Development, Neerabup Primary School, Relationships Australia and Community Arts Network WA.
It involved traditional owners, local artists and school students sharing their knowledge and talents to create an interpretive trail through the Discovery Park bushland. The trail acknowledges Aboriginal culture and practices and educates the wider community on how the bush was traditionally used by the Nyoongar people.
